Game overview

Jewel Match Puzzle is a classic match-three run across desert, glacier and other themed regions. You swap adjacent gems to line up three or more, chain the cascades that follow, and set up the four and five-gem shapes that create board-clearing boosters. Hundreds of levels tighten the move limit as you go, so the difference between a pass and a retry is usually whether you looked one move ahead.

This title is best suited to a familiar match-three break of any length.

How to play Jewel Match Puzzle

  1. Scan the board for the swap that touches the most gems
  2. Trade adjacent jewels to make a line of three or more
  3. Build four and five-gem shapes to earn boosters
  4. Complete the level goal before the move counter runs out

Tips for Jewel Match Puzzle

  • Work the bottom of the board first so cascades do the work above
  • Save a booster for the last few moves of a tight level
  • Look for two matches that overlap before making either one

What worked well and what did not

Pros

  • Enormous level count for a browser match-three
  • Cascades feel generous and readable

Cons

  • Later levels lean on booster luck
  • Region themes change art more than rules
